Welcome to Horsham Cycling

Our club is welcoming to all types of rider, from leisure cyclist to competitive racer. Seven groups meet at the Carfax every Sunday morning, each with different speeds and distances in mind.

Horsham is surrounded by fantastic Sussex countryside and quiet roads. The club is a great way of discovering new routes, making friends and perhaps opening yourself to new cycling challenges.

Newhaven/Shoreham/Wiston Reliability Trial - Sunday 27th Oct 2013

A choice of three rides:

* Please note. with the demise of the Captain's Table Cafe in Newhaven, the destination/check point will be Salt's Cafe on Marine Parade Seaford.

All rides are self directed, that is you can choose your own route. Please arrive at the HQ in good time for the start time of your intended ride.

The HQ is the Forest School Youth Wing, Comptons Lane, Horsham (see maps). Refreshments available at the finish.

Entry fee £2. HQ will be open from 8.30am

Run in conjunction with the Crawley Wheelers.

This event replaces all regular Sunday rides.

 

Autumn Reliability Trial 29 September 2013

Our Autumn reliability trial takes place on the above date. This year there is still be a choice of three rides, each with set directions. The short and the medium rides converge at a tea stop Hurstpierpoint for the last check point, then share the same route on return to the Horsham.
This year's long ride (100km/63miles) goes towards Goodwood with a tea stop/checkpoint at West Dean Gardens.

HQ is the Forest School Youth Wing, Comptons Lane, Horsham (see maps). The hall will be open from 8.30am and refreshments are available at the finish.

Annual Lunch ~ Sunday 14 July 2013

All rides on that day will finish at Rookwood Golf Course for a buffet lunch. Members Only.

Plenty of room to eat either inside or out and to park bikes safely.

Hindhead & Pulborough Reliability Trial - Sunday 17 February 2013

This is the re-scheduled date for the RT cancelled in January.

A choice of two rides as usual from the Forest Youth Wing, Compton's Lane, Horsham.

  • Pulborough Brooks Ride (approx 34miles) commencing 9:30am. Time standards : 2.5, 3, and 3.5 hours
  • Hindhead Ride (approx 56 miles) commencing 09:00am. Time standards : 3.5, 4, 4.25 hours

The rides on this event are self navigation. (decide your own route)

Hall open from 8.30am. Refreshments at finish. Entry Fee £2.

This event replaces all our regular Sunday Rides and is run in conjunction with the Crawley Wheelers.

 

Hindhead & Washington Reliability Trials Sunday 20 Jan 2013

Our first event of the new year as usual from the Forest Youth Wing, Compton's Lane, Horsham.
  • Washington Ride (approx 34miles) commencing 9:30am. Time standards : 2.5, 3, and 3.5 hours
  • Hindhead Ride (approx 56 miles) commencing 09:00am. Time standards : 3.5, 4, 4.5 hours

The rides on this event are self naviagtion (decide your own route)

Hall open from 8.30am. Refreshments at finish. Entry Fee £2.

This event replaces all our regular Sunday Rides and is run in conjunction with the Crawley Wheelers.

The Washington Check Point is the Village Hall where refreshments will be available from the Brighton Mitre CC who are hosting Elevenses for local clubs.
