Welcome to Horsham Cycling

Our club is welcoming to all types of rider, from leisure cyclist to competitive racer. Seven groups meet at the Carfax every Sunday morning, each with different speeds and distances in mind.

Horsham is surrounded by fantastic Sussex countryside and quiet roads. The club is a great way of discovering new routes, making friends and perhaps opening yourself to new cycling challenges.

You can join us for a ride or two without being a member, why not give us a try? See the rides page for more details.

Autumn Reliability Trial - Sunday 18 October - Report.

Luckily the dry settled weather conditions prevailed to give us good conditions resulting in an impressive turnout of 63 riders.

This was made up of 51 of our members, five from Crawley Wheelers, five from the Cranleigh Cycling Club, one from Dulwich Paragon Cycling Club and one from South Hams Cycling Club.

The most popular ride was the Goodwood Gallop (63 miles) with 30 taking part, some riders would find themselves on a number of new roads on the edge of our usual rides area. The Wealden Challenge attracted 24 riders on this intermediate ride of 45 miles. Finally nine riders opted for the Washbrooks Ride (33miles) to Washbrooks Farm, Hurstpierpoint where they converged with those on the Wealden Ride. I was there in the capacity of checker.

At the end everyone enjoyed chatting about the morning experience over a cuppa and fine home baking by Ali and his wife which included the top tier of the Club's 10th Anniversary cake.

Thanks to Colin Ferry for timing the event and to the Bruce family for the scrumptious cakes.

Club Hill Climb Competition - Sunday 11 October.

This will take place again on the private road within the Denbies Wine Estate, Dorking RH5 6AA. We are very grateful to Denbies for letting us use their road (free of charge) and hopefully we can all congregate after the event in their restaurant for coffee/cake.

It would be appreciated if ride leaders could plan their rides to go via Denbies so members can spectate and cheer their Club mates on.

We must be off the hill by 11.00 so we will commence the event at 10.01 with the last rider starting at 10.30. The field will be limited to 30 riders so it would be sensible to email me to pre-enter by 17.00 Saturday 10th to secure a place. Entry fee £3.

The hill is to the LHS of the main building. Signing on will take place from 9.30am.
