Autumn Reliability Trial Report

Many of us had been watching the weather forecast for the last few days hoping for fine weather today. Unfortunately there was heavy rain from about 7am and as a result numbers were much lower than usual with 20 riders turning up for today's rides.

By the time that the first group of riders were set off just after 9, the rain had stopped and the weather was starting to clear. We had a total of twenty riders take part this morning made up of 13 Horsham Cycling, 3 Crawley Wheelers and 4 guests.

Below shows the numbers in each ride:-

Goodwood Gallop - 5 riders

Wealden Challenge - 7 riders

Washbrook Ride - 8 riders

The riders enjoyed hot drinks and home baking made by members at the Youth Wing after the rides. Thanks to the following members who help make the event a success:

Registration - Malcolm Curtis

Time Keeping - Colin Ferry

Washing & Tidying up - Sabina Hickmet

Home Baking - Ali Bruce, Stewart Salt, Loraine Barratt, Fiona Ordridge, Martine Burke and Ray Watson

Thanks to checkers at Washbrooks - Dave Manders and Luke Sparkes

Also, it was good to see Jon Fry and Sabina drop in for chat and coffee and cake. If the weather is poor next time some of you could do the same. You would be made very welcome.

The Next RT will be on Sunday 20th November 2016
