About Racing
The club runs many time trial events over summer on local courses. Time trials are a simple test of your fitness against the clock. It's a great way to set personal challenges and provide focus to training, irrespective of fitness level. Our club events are open to all members from all groups, plus guests from local clubs if space allows. Most races are club oriented, but we also organise open events which are advertised nationally and attract strong fields. During winter, the club organises track sessions at the Calshot velodrome.

The club season is mainly shared between two courses, a fast 10 mile course on the A264 dual carriageway, and a hillier 14.6 mile using quiet roads north of Faygate. The season ends with a short hill climb out of Staplefield. All courses can be found on the maps page.
For social group riders we also have a downhill / freewheeling competition, where, from a standing start, the aim is to travel as far as possible without pedalling. See the club page for details.
Our affiliations with CTT (cycling time trials), Southern Cycling Union, Sussex Cyclists' Association and ESCA mean members can compete in time trials advertised by other clubs.
