Welcome to Horsham Cycling

Our club is welcoming to all types of rider, from leisure cyclist to competitive racer. Seven groups meet at the Carfax every Sunday morning, each with different speeds and distances in mind.

Horsham is surrounded by fantastic Sussex countryside and quiet roads. The club is a great way of discovering new routes, making friends and perhaps opening yourself to new cycling challenges.

You can join us for a ride or two without being a member, why not give us a try? See the rides page for more details or read the FAQ.

Club Kit - new distributor

A D Cycles in Horsham has kindly agreed to distribute Horsham Cycling Club kit on our behalf. All stock will be held on his premises as of December 19th 2018 and you are welcome to go in at any time during opening hours to try items on and buy what you need.

The Club will keep an updated list of the stock held in A D Cycles on our clothing page so that you have an idea of what is available before going in to the shop. Please be aware that this update will be done on a regular basis (target bi weekly) however sales are dynamic so some items may get sold between updates.

The Club is 100% responsible for the level of stock held at A D Cycles so any questions/comments/suggestions etc. on stock levels should be addressed to one of the committee members not to Andy or any other shop attendants.

Annual General Meeting - 8th November 2018

The Club’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 8 November 2018 at the Holbrook Club on North Heath Lane, Horsham, beginning at 7.30pm. We hope you will be able to attend. The minutes of the last AGM, held on 9 November 2017 can be viewed here.

The Annual Report and Accounts for 2017/18 were circulated to members in the July 2018 edition of Chainline. You will have the opportunity to raise any questions or make any observations about the content of this report at the Annual General Meeting.

The formal business of the meeting will deal with the resolutions which are set out in this Notice, namely the election of the General Committee. Five of the current committee members are standing for re-election along with three new nominees. Three of the existing members are standing down at the end of December. You are of course at liberty to propose alternative committee members in accordance with the Club’s Constitution, which is available on the Club website. This must be done at least 14 days prior to the meeting.

We will aim to keep the official part of the evening as short as possible. After the formal part of the meeting Phil Merryweather will give a short presentation on his ‘Chase the Sun’ ride, which he completed in June alongside some other members of the Club. There will also be drinks and nibbles available and the opportunity to chat with other members.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.

Dave Scott, Club Secretary
on behalf of the General Committee
