COVID-19 update - Sunday rides re-start from 28 June

Sunday Club rides are re-starting this Sunday, June 28th. There are some new measures that must be observed to comply with the government and British Cycling guidelines for safe group riding. Please read the new 'GROUP RIDES – COVID-19 MEASURES' and the updated risk analysis. Prior to attending a Club ride, all members must review and then adhere to these rules to allow club rides to continue.

To support our ride leaders, we have also developed new ride leader guidelines

The club has also established new group assembly zones in the Carfax to avoid congestion and allow for social distancing. Using a clock-face arrangement, with 12 o’clock facing the big tree by the bus-stop from the bandstand.

  • Social 1 – 12 o’clock (Under trees next to bus stop)
  • Social 2 – 1 o’clock (Nat West)
  • Inter 1 – 2 o’clock (Prezzo)
  • Inter 2 – 3 o’clock (open area between NatWest & Coral, the far side of the wall from the bandstand)
  • SG1 – 4 o’clock (Coral)
  • SG2 – 6 o’clock (Candy Box)
  • SG3 – 8 o’clock (Crates)

All members must stand well clear of main pedestrian routes.

For the first week we will have a couple of volunteers to help members find the appropriate zones so if in doubt ask the volunteer to direct you to the correct location.

To assist with planning rides in the short term, we would like to get an idea of how many members are interested in attending Sunday Club rides. Could you please fill in the very short survey:

Thanks for your continued support.
